We have 2 parakeets and we never got gender tests, just recently the pink one laid 3 eggs and the black one is now acting more territorial, he always watches over everyone, and he almost never leaves the room whereas the usually fly everywhere. Now I want to know if the eggs are fertile but if we candle the eggs I feel like it may cause problems, also if they are fertile and 10 weeks after they hatched would it be cruel to take them into my room? On one hand I want to so I can raise them and train them but on the other hand I feel like it may be cruel to take them away from their parents even though they would still be seeing them everyday because we let them fly wherever, please help, any and all answers appreciated, thanks in advance.
