Adopting two adult cats - I researched the cost of food beforehand and was confident it was within my budget. Now I've learned I NEED wet food and NEED grain-free and all this healthy food - how much of it is true and how much is crazy cat people treating their cats better than I can even afford to eat?
Don't get me wrong, I want them to be happy & healthy. But it seems like to afford the healthy "cheap" options for two cats, its at LEAST $30/month per cat, and I really cannot afford $60/month on food alone.
I am hoping to do half wet, half dry, but then the wet is STILL expensive if I do a grain-free, so I'm honestly on the border of throwing all caution to the wind and buying the friskies 48 5.5 oz packs with a better bag of dry - please help me sort through this hokey because I want to do best by them within my budget.
