I've had a cat and 2 dogs for at least a year now. They've always gotten along great. The cat plays with them all the time and they'll even bathe each other.
Today we gave the 2 dogs a bath, which we do every few months, and suddenly the cat is absolutely terrified of them. His tail bushed up and hissed, and when my girlfriend picked him up to carry him over the dogs and out the room, he went berserk and sliced her hands up. The dogs were whining like they do when they get excited, so it's all just very confusing as to why the cat would suddenly be so aggressive.
We thought it might be the smell of a different dog shampoo we used? But I just don't no. Right now we have the dogs in the kennel and the cat is in the room hiding under the bed. Any advice would be most appreciated and I apologize for the long post, I don't post on reddit very often.
