My 7 year old female cat has asthma. She was diagnosed 2 years ago and took liquid Prednisolone which really helped. Coughing went away almost entirely.
She just started coughing a lot again last week. I can’t think of any environmental changes at all! But now she has mini attacks every hour or so stretching out her neck and wheezing for about 10 seconds.
I called the vet and they refilled the prescription and I picked it up and started giving it to her Tuesday.
The problem is she no longer will take it in her wet food. She loves to eat and last time I just squirted it into her wet food and she gobbled it up. Now she just lets the medicated food sit and won’t eat it. So yesterday and today I had to wrangle her to squirt it in her mouth which was terrible as she was freaking out!
Any advice on getting cats to take liquid meds?
