Looking to adopt a 16 week old cat from the shelter. Woukd this he a good decision?

So I'm moving into an apartment next month and I wanted to get a cat to keep me company and i dont want to get a cat from a breeder and want to rescue one myself. Theres this beautiful black cat at our local shelter who's 16 weeks old and I'm just making sure with my lifestyle it would be a good idea. I work 8 hours a day (usually from 230-11) 5 days a week. I'll be living in the apartment by myself is this a good idea or should I look at older cats
