I posted in here about a month ago. I got a one year old cat from a friend. I have a 2 year old german shepherd. He's been around cats before and while he is big and might be overwhelming, he doesn't try to be mean. Just a lot of sniffing. I keep them as separated as possible, but I live in a one bedroom apartment and can't keep him out of the bedroom 24/7. They've interacted a few times. It starts with him sniffing her, she freaks out and runs and then he chases to continue sniffing. She freaks out and swats at him. It's been almost 2 months and she comes out more than she used to, but she's still afraid. I just want her to see that he won't hurt her, but her guard goes up as soon as she sees him, and I understand why. Will it ever work or should I give her away? (To a trusted friend, never to a stranger or shelter)
