Cat compulsively chews on almost anything.

This problem started a few months after I got my kitten Coconut and started leaving him alone while I was in school or work at the age of about 3 months.

He got bored and lonely and stressed out so after a month of having all my cords chewed I decided it was good to rescue another cat who needed a home and also give him a friend to love and support him.

He stopped chewing mostly but off and on still chews wires/cords and random metal or rubber objects such as my titanium ring that I wear every day as well as the rubber strap for my watch. He seems to just kinda do it absent mindedly and isn't really chewing on our houseplants (nontoxic to cats because I know that's a problem sometimes) or our shoes. It really just kinda seems to be isolated to cords/wires and metal objects.

This may be relevant also, he is very playful and often chases the other cat around the house and they get into scuffles where he is biting her neck or something as she is howling and running. And he plays with any kind of plastic / wrapper / twist tie that ends up on the floor until I pick it up. He never eats any of it, but he does just play with it a lot so it seems he has a ton of energy as he runs back and forth around the apartment.
