Cat Food Advice: Dry Food, Wet Food, or Homemade Ones?

Hi there fellow pet owners (specifically cat owners)!

As the title says, I'm looking for help regarding cat food. Recently, three of my family's nine cats got sick (with one dying due to liver failure) and it made me stop and think about their current diet. Previously, I would feed them a mixture of the Princess Cat Food with the Whiskas one (2:1 kilos for an entire week). There's also the added fact that I really haven't given them any vitamins ever since we've had them (we had them vacinated and neutered but that's it) except if the vet gives me a list whenever we visit the clinic (which is far and rare).

I'm not entire sure if I should also change their diet since I have no idea what to even consider - internet isn't helpful as well right now. Which is why I'm turning to this community for help, advice, or at least a point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance to those who can help!
