Hi all, please help me understand
I was painting my living room windows yesterday with oil based paint and I put my cat outside on a long leash so she doesnt inhale the fumes. She was basically 6 m away with window open so could hear shes ok.
She is an indoor cat not desexed 9 months old and is outside only directly supervised. She was in heat about 5 days ago but she is very calm now and her regular self.
However as i was painting I heard her shrieking and I look outside and sure enough a tom had just made love with her. This is strange to me as she was displaying no signs of heat and still isnt.
After the love deed she was bleeding from her private area which went away within an hour or so (first time shes ever mated).
Could she be pregnant from one mating? From my understanding cats need to mate several times to ovulate right?
Can a cat get pregnant if not on heat?
She still is showing no signs of heat ( she acts like she is possesed by demons when shes on heat ).
I dont want to desex her yet she is a grand daugher of a cat we had since i was young and we will make her breed once when she is older.
