I have 2 cats Lily 9yo and Luna 8yo. We are moving across country with them right now. We did this once before and gave them sedatives for the drive and had no issues. This time is different for Lily.
I give them 75mg Zylkene and 100mg Gabapentin for the drive. (3 days 12 hours each day). Lily did ok on day 1, but fought me hard this morning (day 2) on both. I managed to give her the meds but I don't think they worked well. She was restless during the drive and would occasionally shake.
Now she's hiding under the bed in our hotel room and won't let me anywhere near her. She also hasn't eaten since midday. We have one more day of driving and I'm worried about her stress levels for this last day. Is there anything I can do to help her?
