About 3 weeks ago, my black lab was on the steps inside my home, and he slipped somehow and slid down about 4 steps to the landing. He then refused to even go near the steps. I noticed his nails were a little long so the next day I took him to the vet and had them clipped, thinking that would solve the problem. Nope. Still won’t come anywhere near the steps. Any advice on how to get him using the stairs again? We’ve tried pretty much everything we can think of, including treats and positive reinforcement. And it’s just those stairs. He uses the ones outside the house just fine.
