As the title states, I've adopted a dog recently (3 months ago) that's one year old. She's had two homes previously but hadn't ever been to the vets office and didn't recognize her (old) name when called upon; therefore, I thought that she didn't know any commands because she was obviously neglected various ways.
Apparently she knows commands for sit and handshake and I'm wondering what commands I should test next. She doesn't know "lay down" or "no".
What commands should I try out? She's still getting training as well, but I find is amazing that she already knows stuff that I've never taught her.
