I just picked up a cute little puppy at the pound, and I was wondering if there is anywhere I can go to buy condoms for the little guy once he becomes of age?
I'm a sex-positive animal rights activist so I see neutering as cruel and don't want to go down that route. It deprives animals of a crucial source of hormones and prevents them from experiencing the beautiful act of procreation and finding a partner for life, which no caring pet owner should ever do.
HOWEVER, I still don't want to risk him getting a disease, or worry about him producing a load of offspring that I can't handle once he starts doing his business with the missus. Pregnancy can also cause dog parents to behave aggressively towards their owner and I don't want him to get snappy at me. For these reasons, I'm looking for a place to buy dog condoms so he can experience his natural state of being as a free animal without worrying about any extra commitments down the line.
Normal condoms don't seem to work too well from what I've heard from other sex-positive dog owners, which is why I'm hoping to find a brand made specifically for canines. Ideally if they do other species too; there are dozens of people in our community who would like a place to buy condoms for their non-canine pets!
His name is Steven and he's a Jack Russell if it's of any relevance.
