So I lived with this guy and his 3 dogd with my dog from September until January. i found out in january i can move in with my boyfriend. Now in october his 12 year old dog passed and he lost his job. I helped him thorugh that time even though he was being a bum by not looking for a job and doing nothing to find a job. He wven lost unemployment because he didnt do the weekly job apps. Now as i prepped to move because my dog was a pit mix i couldnt move her our place and airlines refused. I was sad and almost canceled the move when he offered to watch my dog for me and then when i come back a year from now i can get her back no problems. I agreed thinking it would probably be easier for her. Its been a few months now and thanks to his negligence his 2nd dog got hit by a car because he allowed him to roam the streets. So as we will next year move to our new command i asked to get brandy when we move. First he says only if i take his other dog since they "bonded" i said ok and now when im asking to prep both he suddenly fell in love with her and wont give her back to me. He knew this was tempoary and now i may have to go to small claims court in Va once we move. Should i go ahead and file a police report now or will the court wonder why did i file it a year before taking him to court? What is my beat option to get my dog back? Or the question i don;t want an answer to because she is a pitbull and we would have 3 dogs should i even though he did me wrong do i do whats best for her and let him keep her? I feel so lost and torn. i don;t know what to do i cry every night.
