My cat is insane and I don’t know what to do anymore

So I got my cat when he was six weeks old, he is now 5 months. He loves to play, he’s super energetic and he’s strictly an indoor cat.

When he’s playing he tends to stop playing with the many toys I’ve bought him and “attack” me and my bf. I know it’s just aggressive playing and not actual aggression towards us, but it hurts. He never claws us , but he bites and he bites hard.

I’ve tried ignoring him and putting the toys down when he does this. I’ve also left the room leaving him by himself. I have even gotten a spray bottle only to use when he’s really bad and biting , but that just pisses him off.

There are times when he wants attention and he’ll come to us and purr and nap, but when he’s in play mode he gets crazy and I don’t know how to “train” him to not bite/hurt us ! Any suggestions would help !
