I have a 3 year old lab mix and my fiancé’s sister has a 2 year Rottweiler mix. Since the day they met each other they’ve fought. Sometimes it would be just growling but most other times it turns into one lashing out at the other. We’ve tried to slowly introduce the two of them to each other and for a time it would go smoothly. But sooner or later they get into it with one another and we have to separate them in different rooms.
I think that they just plain and simply don’t like each other and they are not ever going to get along no matter what we try. My fiancé thinks that they need to continue to be kept together until it gets sorted out.
For clarity, they aren’t around each other all the time. Maybe one every 6 months or so.
Does anybody have any helpful tips?
