So we are picking up a new puppy this weekend (tmrw or Saturday) and on our way home we are supposed to stop for the rest of the weekend and camp with friends.... with a brand new puppy!!!!
Like will this wreck all training and traumatize my puppy? Any tips to make this easier for the puppy? We want her to be able to go camping and such but she has no idea who we are! I’ve never had a puppy, only an adult dog so I’m researching like crazy and trying to learn.
Should I just tell the friends and my fiancé I’ll be heading home (and ditching him) with the puppy rather than staying for the weekend? The puppy plans came after the weekend plans so he’s kind of upset already that this is the puppy that I chose and this is the weekend it must be picked up. But she is the one!
I really just want to be a good puppy mom lol. Don’t want to put her through too much.
