Poopy butt kitten

I adopted a kitten two weeks ago. She’s a little over two months old and the happiest, most playful girl. The only problem: her stool is very soft and she always has a poopy butt. The shelter I adopted her from told me that the foster she was with before told them about it, and when I got her they had been treating her for it for about three days. They had tested for parasites and there was nothing. I continued the regimen they had been giving her (fortiflora I add to her food and a probiotic I give her in a syringe). Went to the vet a week later and she was still having problems, he gave me more of those two medicines to give her and I dropped off a stool sample yesterday for him to test for something else. She doesn’t seem like she feels bad, she just has these terrible, stinky, loose poops. When I went to the vet he didn’t give me any reason for why she would be having this problem for so long, so I’ve been holding on to the hope that whatever he’s testing her for is positive so we can actually treat her correctly and get her better. Luckily I’ve caught her most of the time she has a poopy butt and I just wipe her. When I say poopy butt I don’t mean dried poop hanging onto her hair, I mean diarrhea straight up covering her butt. Twice in the last two days she has pooped and then immediately come into my room and jumped on my bed. The first time she did it she left a trail of poop all on my comforter. The second time I caught her before she got any on my bed, but when I walked to the bathroom I stepped in a few piles from where she sat down or it just dripped off her butt. So that’s where I am now: just scrubbed a trail of poop off my carpet, wiped poop off my kittens butt, and am sitting on the ground thinking about how many times I just typed out “poopy butt”. My main thought is that I can’t let her out in my room anymore while I’m at work during the day in the event we have a repeat of tonight but I’m not there to stop her from covering every square foot in poop. Luckily I have a big bathroom to keep her in, and she doesn’t cry when she’s in there, but I feel so bad and anxious. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I can’t keep her locked in the bathroom for the rest of her life because she’s constantly smearing poop on everything, but I also can’t let her out and constantly have poop smeared on everything. I know when I go back to the vet in two weeks I can seek his advice but right now I’m just so stressed and annoyed and having that post- adoption regret that I’ve read about. If you have any advice, please help me and my little poopy butt girl. Oh also- I’ve been feeding her the same food the shelter was, Hills science diet, so it’s not a change in food that’s upsetting her

TLDR: my kittens butt is always covered in soft poop that she gets all over my bed and the floor. Need some comfort and hope.
