I rescued an adorable 1-month-old kitten and looked after him and have fallen in love with him. He is now 4 months old. He is generally calm but he gets scared and freaks out whenever there is a loud noise outside or whenever there are visitors. He would hide under the sofa and avoids them. Sometimes this happens while I am holding him, he uncontrollably scratches me or tries to hold on to me that he pushes his claws into my skin which hurts a lot. Any tips on how to calm him down or avoid this?
Also, side questions; I read that the ideal time to neuter cats is 6 months, but can it be done before that?
