It's been a really bad day for my cat. Left today on a business trip, and was gone most of the day. Got back and I got to my front door and heard my cat meowing desperately. Ran inside and saw him hanging by the back leg from a set of blinds on a high ledge. I immediately cut him down. He was very weak and just layed down and tried to limp off to hide but could not get far. The smell of cat pee and feces was over powering and it was all very dry. He dug into the dry wall a bit aswell. All this to say I think he was up there for a long time. His back leg lost all color in the pads (dark purple, normally pink) and he has a laceration around his upper leg and absolutely cannot feel the leg below the laceration. He exhausted and panting and just laying down I got him some warm milk and water which he drank a little of but I doubt there is much more to do for him. I have no money to take him to the vet. Am I prolonging the inevitable?
