I'm bringing my cat on a plane with me for the first time and I'm really worried about passing through security check. I understand that you have to take your cat out of the crate and carry them through the scanner. My biggest fear is her freaking out (very possible) and wriggling out of my arms. She's a pretty big and strong cat, so it can be hard for me to hold her tightly.
I would feel better if I had a harness and leash on her, but I assume those would set of any metal detectors or scanners. I saw that some people sell metal-less harnesses, but unfortunately they wouldn't arrive in time for my flight.
What do you guys do in this situation? I have this nightmare of my cat tearing loose through the security check area.
