HELP! My Dogs Paws always bleed after he plays

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this post.

I have a 4 year old Chow Chow German Shepard. He's very energetic and loves to play in the yard. A few months ago I took him to my aunts house to play with her dog. After they spent the entire day playing in the yard i noticed that he was limping. I checked his paws and they were really red and irritated. His paws looked like they were burnt - maybe burnt on the grass. We took him to the vet and he gave him injections for the pain and to calm down the inflammation. We asked him what can be done about his paws and he just said my dog has sensitive paws and he applies to much pressure when he runs around. This weekend he played around with his bud Teddy (Labrador mix) in my yard and hes paws started to bleed. I cleaned his paws with warm water and put ointment and monitored him but he likes to run around and i cant chain him to his bed all day. Has this happened to another dog mom/dad if so what have you done to help with the bleeding or inflammation? Milo doesn't like dog shoes he always breaks them or manages to take them off (no matter how tight i put them on).
