My cat (16 month female) got spayed yesterday at a local vet. I brought her home last night where she laid quietly in a room. I put food water and litter in the room and checked on her every hour or so. Around midnight she started meowing and changing the spot she was laying down by a couple feet at a time. Around 3:30 I went to check on her and she was not breathing and her body was cold.
Did the vet kill my cat or is it my fault for not noticing her issues earlier and bringing her to a 24/7 vet. Everything I read in prep said the cat would be uncomfortable for a few days so I thought it was normal.
I'm currently waiting for the vet to open to call them and see what to do. Is there anything I should ask them in particular?
