My cat recently had a urinary blockage, and after a terrifying trip to the vet (and a very expensive bill that got cut down), he was sent home with a urinary catheter in.

Is there anything I should know how to make sure he doesnt get infected? Im worried about my little guy. He just got home a few hours ago.

The vet gave me 3 medications for him, prazosin, buprenex, and anxiolytic. None of which seem to be antibiotics.

The vet said "they gave him some antibiotics", but wasnt very clear, and his appointment isnt till next Thursday.

Please help. I dont want my good lil boy to get sick after already having a near death experience :(

He is a 5 year old Russian Blue.
