My cats keep getting ringworm and my parents want to give them away!

I have two cats one male one female, fully grown adults. One is rather indoors but goes outside a lot, and one is a street cat we took in -- both spend times indoors and outdoors equally. They first got ringworm around a year ago, and it became really bad as myself and family members soon were infected with them and they were all over our bodies and necks -- it took over a month of treatment for it to go away on us. We've tried all sorts of treatment for the cats, including topical creams, oral medication and baths -- we even sent them away to be at the vet for three weeks, and it keeps coming back..

We began to isolate them to outdoors only, forcing them into cages to sunbathe (as sunlight apparently kills ringworm) -- but to no avail. My parents do this to avoid contaminating us and the house with anymore fungus but now the cats are depressed and unhappy and we just don't know what to do anymore.

Please help!!
