hey all, my family adopted a dog that was abused and on the streets, some workers who take care of strays took him in 4 days ago and starting giving him injection for mange. Family adopted him this morning and took him to vet and the doc started him on a treatment, my question is how long is mange contagious. I cant find anything online and my freacking dad and ignorant sister let the mange dog inside, my other dogs are in other rooms and im trying my best to keep them apart but im freaking out. Im calling vet tommorow to see if theres treatment to avoid my healthy animals from getting infected cause of new pet. Any tips?
Also more info, i dont really know what vet said, my dad and sister are kinda ignorant they didnt seem to ask health risks or how to avoid, neither did vet mention anything so yea fuck me
