Hi all, I thought I'd share an update on the puppy. She got placed in the shelter's foster/adoption program! We took her in today and stayed with her while the vet checked her out, and despite the ticks she's a healthy little four month old. We had our vet check her out prior and she gave her an antibiotic to start getting rid of the pests, and suggested neem to help speed up the process. Four baths later the pup was almost completely tick free and a bundle of kissing energy. So the shelter has her in quarantine now, and over the next few weeks she'll be fully vaccinated, spayed and introduced to other pups so she'll become more social and friendly (she's pretty shy). She really is a sweet girl, and very a pretty mixed breed, so hopefully she'll find her forever home soon. I always knew that our time together would be short, but it was really fun while it lasted!
