Sorry I'm new so bare with me.
October 2018 my partner and I moved into my childhood house through a guy who bought it fron my dad after my parents divorce, he renovated it and there's so many factors.
So we meet our new landlord and talk and sign papers when he opens the back door to this shed-conservative my dad built when I was about 8 (13 years ago)
Curled into each other were two young kittens, old enough to be without mum but still young. Collared, wide eyed and gorgeous. Our landlord explained that they have been there most days since buying the house, he doesn't know where they came from. We don't mind, I already have my 5-y/o cat, Dita (after Dita Von Teese).
For the first week they were interested in the new people, and by the second week they knew we had a cat, therefore food! Our next door neighbour was in the process of moving out so I wrote a little note to ask. They said they called the blue cross or the RSPCA but no one ever showed...
Soo yeah, they left the twins AND their mum! She visited my brother who lived across the back (so we could see each others gardens) and he rehomed her thankfully.
We fell in love with the twins, a boy and a girl we named Cody (it just fitted) and Bettie (after Bettie Page in my profile pic). We discovered they had worms, fleas, were underweight and Cody had a water infection.
A year and a half (and a lot of money) later and they have developed such bright personalities! Bettie loves to eat, Cody is playful and both love cuddles! They follow me every where and sometimes to the shop! All three are on my profile banner.
In a way they helped us! Moving house is tough but they saved the arguments and moodswings
