So I am set on adopting this kitten from a local shelter. She is 4 months old, was found as a stray, and has no function of her right front leg. According to the shelter they suspect it is right front radial nerve paralysis. They told me that she will need to be taken to the vet ASAP.
I called a local vet to ask for advice/about the whole situation. I was told that I would bring her in for a introductory check up and that they would start with x-rays to pinpoint exactly what is going on.
I guess I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this? From what little research I’ve done, it seems like the severity of the nerve paralysis can vary and could be due to a plethora of things. I even read that sometimes it just goes away? I am trying to figure out what to expect - any advice or information would be appreciated!
