Cat hissing at me when I pet my other cat.

I have two friendly neutered male cats. They get along very well, they cuddle and play with each other. The cat in question is called Gray boy and is a year and a half old and he's very social and affectionate typically. He was my first cat before I adopted the second one. The second one Crypto is about 10 months old. For some reason Gray boy is acting strange today and has been hissing at me after taking Crypto to the vet and leaving him for a few hours. Every time I pet Crypto and give him attention he hisses at me. If I pet him when he does this he doesn't bite or anything. They aren't being aggressive towards each other they are laying together on the bed. I'm just stumped by this behavior and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows why he would be behaving this way.
