Next week my roommates family is visiting and staying at our place for several days, so I’m going to just stay with my boyfriend until they leave.
My cat is very used to my boyfriend and they bond quite well, but I’ve never brought my cat to anyone else’s home before. Just the vet and my apartment.
I know cats are territorial and don’t always like change so I don’t want to freak him out by changing his environment so abruptly. But I also think he would be sad to sleep without me for a whole week. I prefer to stay with him even if it’s somewhere else.
If I leave him at home, I will probably come home before and after work and maybe before bedtime depending on my plans. If I bring him to my boyfriends, how do I help him adjust to a new place? Would it be helpful to take him over there just for a couple hours today or tomorrow?
