Do your cats enjoy being brushed? I have one boy who hates it and fights me to the point that I feel like I’m abusing him. I absolutely hate it but he also needs to be brushed to avoid matting! I’m worried he hates me. He’s walking around sulking and occasionally growling at me. I feel like I should stop brushing him because I honestly am worried that my cat thinks I’m trying to hurt him! I’ve tried many tricks to brush him but I just can’t get it done any other way than holding him down and brushing quickly. If I brush I feel like I’m abusing him, if I don’t brush and he gets matted I feel like I’m neglecting him!
I don’t know what to do!
Maybe I’m overreacting but the idea that my cat hates me and doesn’t know that I’m trying to help breaks my heart!
