Dear people of reddit, Im seeking advice on a pretty common situation. Obligatory, sorry for my English etc.
Me and my girlfriend are moving in together in 2 days. I have an adult dog (4 years old Pekingese) and she has an adult cat (3 years old). So far, browsing forums I've read its better for the dog and cat move in together at the same time (so they don't become too territorial something) and must be kept separate in the beginning. They met each other once, and it didn't went really smoothly (my dog REALLY wanted to sniff him), but they ate separately, one at each side of the door.
I can leave my dog with my parents, temporarily. Should I leave him for a week, or just like I read, is the best for them to move in at the same time?
Any, and I can't stress it enough, ANY advice or tips would be appreciated, cause my dog already only has one eye, and I (and him, Im sure) would like to keep it that way.
Thank you all in advance.
