Just like the title says, for some reason my dog starts whining every morning at about 6 A.M. He started doing it only a few weeks ago. He always has sufficient food, thus I don't that hunger is the reason.
What is very peculiar is that if I get up to comfort him he will stop and then start again an hour later. The same thing will happen if I open the door of my room and shout at him to stop. Also, since my father is a night guard and comes home at about 7 A.M my dog will stop the moment he arrives but, will start again, if I or any other member of my family leaves the house.
Needless to say that as a university student who doesn't get much sleep anyways, it's really starting to annoy me.
His name is Hankie, he is a half-breed boxer and he is about 1.5 years old. He is, without a doubt, one of the most restless dogs I ever owned and has made it a goal of his life to destroy something I own every other day for the past year.
Could he be in pain or is he simply feeling lonely? What should I do?
