My boyfriend and I are getting a 9 week old lab tomorrow. We have both had dogs in our lives but our other dog is 12 now and my family's dog is 6, so it's been awhile since they have been puppies. We are talking about crating, or at least gating him off at night. Should we hold off until he is older? What are y'all's thoughts on crating in general? I never crate dogs, but my boyfriend has when they are younger. Also, any other advice about having a younger pup is greatly appreciated!
