Adopted Cat Question! - Cold Windowsill Sanctuary?

My fiance and I have just adopted a lovely three-year old cat who was rescued from a colony living in an abandoned warehouse and she's absolutely lovely. We've cat proofed the house and she's already had a full meal after the foster-owner dropped her off. We closed off a lot of the living room space from our two bedrooms to give her time to aclimate and so far so good.

Just one question, she's found a windowsill that's quiet chilly and has a bit of a draft. Know cats are incredibly self-sufficient and she's found a place to decompress as she's getting used to us and the space but the coldness of the space seems a bit surprising given all info says cats hate the cold/draft and we've both had prior cats in our life so it does stand out as different.

I'm assuming that because she was an outdoor cat, she's most likely used to it, but has anyone else had this experience also? Don't want to worry she's picked the coldest spot out of anxiety.. thanks for any info!
