hello reddit! my boyfriend and i currently have one fur baby who is 3 years old. we adopted her from a shelter about 6 months ago. she is declawed (from previous owner), fixed, and free roamed at the shelter so had contact with other cats.
we were considering adopting a second one to keep our cat and us company- but don’t know what our best bet is. is it smarter to get another female cat? a kitten perhaps? we would be going back to the same shelter, but i don’t want our cat to be hostile/uncomfortable with the new cat. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
