[Advice?] Cat is extremely aggressive now, and we're not sure why...

In the last 4 months I'd day, our male cat (under a year old) has became more and more aggressive over time. If we try to pull him off our arms (never harshly though), he claws and bites even harder...and it's certainly not play aggression like we thought at first. When we put him in his cage after, he tries to quickly lunge out before we can lock it, so he can attack us. We just got him fixed, and it's almost been a month now, so we're still hoping it's mostly hormones or something...but he's perfectly healthy too. He never hisses though, and rarely is his tail ever puffy during it all.

We're not sure what to do at this point. And there's no reason as to why he's gotten like this, it was out of the blue. We've been playing with him as much as we can, and have been loving on him the whole time. He love to try and go for the soft spots on your wrist (like the tendons) and sink his teeth in deeply...it's awful and non-stop nearly these days. He's also recently got into a claw fight with my cat (5 years old) randomly, when she snuck out of our bedroom and he noticed, her fur flung everywhere. Didn't even have a chance to catch him before he could or even react at first, he had bolted to her that fast. Thankfully she's okay...but still, we're really worried and it's getting out of hand.

Has anyone else had a similar experience like this? We really need some advice on what to do, and if there's anything we could try before saving up and shelling out money for a feline behaviorist...but so far we haven't been able to find any but for dogs alone, we're still looking though.
