I love my cat! She’s such a funny animal and brings me no limit of joy. But I’m not staying home so I can cuddle and play with her 12 hours a day; I need to get work done! Giving her concentrated time to cuddle and play just seems to make the problem worse; if I let her in my lap in the morning, she tries to be with me all afternoon. If I play with her in the afternoon, she keeps me up late and wakes me early in the morning. I can’t lock her out, because we have other pets that she’s scared of and aren’t allowed in my room specifically so she can have a safe space. I can’t work anywhere else, because I have a big (noisy) family.
I feel really bad constantly shooing her away, but I don’t know how else to get her to leave me alone. Does anyone else have this issue? What are you doing to fit it? Is there a reason she could be so clingy, or is she just excited I’m home?
