Not exactly cut up, but scratched I guess? Like she's been consistently scratching them and making them bloodied. They're all scabby. But I've been watching her over the last few weeks and it doesn't seem like she's constantly scratching them. The scratches are also along the edges and tips of her ears, where the skin is really thin. It actually looks like one of the other cats has been biting her ears, but again, been watching them (quarantine life) and they all get along just fine, no foul play beyond kitty play.
I've put coconut oil on them for now - I'm not sure what else to do and I know it's an antibacterial. The only thing I can think of is that I was forced to temporarily change their food. Thanks to COVID, their usual food was out of stock so I had to get something different. I tried to get a brand of similar quality hoping it'd be okay and made sure to mix it with what I had left of the old food. I'm hoping there is some in stock this weekend so I can get them back on their normal food.
Further context: I have three cats, the other two don't seem to be showing any issues. The food I was feeding them was Pure Balance and had to temporary mix with Nood (new brand, never heard of it but it was the ONLY [not even kidding] food of high-ish quality left on the shelf). She is a DSH, about 6 years old.
Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, or ways to help her?
