We are living on the 2nd floor of my apartment.
When we shifted here, a stray dog used to visit my home. My mom usually likes to keep doors open. I and she fed him whenever he came. After some time he stopped coming, then another dog came and he visits every day.
On one occasion, there was a kitten on my floor, hungry and shabby but she was so cute. Her coat was white with orange back and head. So I brought her to my home and we fed her with milk. She was aesthetic. But thinking maybe she would like to go, I left her out but she came back. So I pleaded with parents, and they agreed to keep her
It was all going good. But sometimes I don't know what on earth made her run here and there with full madness, ready to scratch me in overexcitement. Later I came to know when she wanted to go out she behaved such way. Timings were fixed. She used to go out at 11 am and come at 2 pm and then again from 5 pm to 6 pm.
On one occasion she was very hot and lazy. On the next day, we took her to the vet. She was given shots every day for 3 days. And her condition became worse and at last, she was blind, I don't know why and took her last breath.
I m a teen, with no siblings. She always used to sit and sleep with me. When I sleep she quietly used to come under my blanket. It was so much pain. She often comes in my dreams and plays with me.
It's been 6 months I guess and now there's another cat visiting my house. The same coat just with grey patches. She is not small. I guess of same age what my Lucy(previous one) would be of if alive. She daily comes and I feed her too. When I close the door, she stays out for an hour or so. She tries to enter and sometimes if no one notice, she enters and walks silently from one room to other.
I want to pet her but after so much pain on separation, I scare and so do my parents. My mom too does not want to pet her but at the same time can't stop herself to look her silently when she remains out for hours.
I don't understand why cats come to my home only. I mean they are no stray cats I guess since stray ones are pretty scary and fierce.
I am confused, what to do.
