My dog (minpin) has been sleeping with me in my room since we got her as a puppy (so like 3 years). I'd been away at college but still come home almost every weekend. When I'm away, she either sleeps in her kennel (both dogs are kennel trained and go in there by choice a lot of times) or on my brother's bed with him and our other dog. I just got a new bed that's shorter than my old one (old one had a ladder). She loved to sleep with me in that bed, and even the first few days I had my new bed, she was fine. Now, the past 4 nights, she's been whining at my door when I open her kennel to put her on my bed. Her kennel is in a corner of my room that's kind of secluded, so my first thought was that she just didn't like it, so she wanted to go sleep with my brother again. Usually it's past midnight that I get home and let her out. But tonight I let her go where she wanted and it was straight to my mom's room, where she's never slept before. She was going back and forth between whining at the door and laying on my chest by my face. I got her settled down and shes laying by my legs now, but I'm worried as to why she's doing this. Any advice?
