I just recently adopted a kitten from a family member and well today I found out she has ear mites. She is only 8wks old & has only been with us for 1 wk. I didn’t think of checking here eat until I saw her scratching and shaking her head so much. After find out she had dirt like stuff in them and googling I found out it was ear mites. Ive let her get on my bed and couches and let me 5 yr old kid cuddle her & nap on the couch together. Out kitten loves kissing her face and snuggling up close to her neck and shoulders. I am freaking out cause I read that they can be passed on to humans. Anyone had this happens to them? Is it true they can be passed on to you? My ear became supere itchy after thinking about it. I made a vet appt for her to get them clean out ASAP and get the treatment but should I do something else? Should I clean all my furniture and bedding and vacuum my whole house or do they stay and die in my kitten ears? I help some advice. Please!
