I adopted a 9 year old female cat about a week ago. She seemed shy and a bit fearful, and they warned me about petting overstimulation. I researched that and how to work with that a lot but to have been noticing that she has been getting angry at me not when I pet her, but instead when I either talk or try and walk anywhere in my house. I spent earlier today walking around my house on the phone with her following me around hissing and clawing at me. I've grown to feel like I can't do anything in my house without fear of her lashing out. Has anyone lived with a cat who would behave similarly. How should I work with her on this or behave given these tendancies?
