Because of a divorce and a ‘nesting’ arrangement, I live in two locations. One is my house. The other is the house where my kids live. I alternate between the two places for a week at each place. I can’t have a pet in the second location.
I’m looking for suggestions for a pet (mammal preferably) that can handle being with me around half the time and not having me around much (dinner visits, sometimes) the other half of the time.
I’m pretty sure a cat is not a good choice and a dog would be impossible. But, anything else that could handle the alternating attention/loneliness and be okay?
