Puppy Blues Help

My family recently adopted an 8 week old cockapoo, and she is gorgeous. She hasn’t cried at night too much, she loves people and she’s learning to toilet train just fine at the moment.

The issue falls with my family, however. Two of us want to keep her and two of us aren’t so sure. We’ve had a dog before, but that was when my sibling and I were much younger, my parents also. Despite being retired, my parents don’t stay in the house a lot as they’ve got family to visit and frequently go on days out. My sibling has a full time job, and I will be going back to university after summer.

She’s a wonderful dog, but she’s going to have a lack of attention as far as I can see. I’ve been nothing but stressed about her since we got her, the same going for my mum. I’m aware a dog is a huge responsibility, especially during its puppy days, but it’s been far more overwhelming than I was ever expecting. Does anyone have any advice for coping with this stress? This may be enhanced due to the lockdown situation going on, but I really don’t think it’s a good idea to keep this puppy.
