I love cat and dogs equally. My situation is as follows:
I am 26 years old and live mostly by myself. I want to get either a cat or a dog but because of my busy work schedule (10 hour shifts sometimes) I dont know if I can appropriately give enough love and attention to a pet I get. I live in a duplex but I cant actively be home all the time to be with and care for my pets (if I decide to get one). Should I even consider getting either? I know I would love them unconditionally but my work situation may not allow me to give them the full attention they deserve. At first I thought about getting a kitten or pup but eventually I though of getting either from a shelter so that they are adults and can be okay being by themselves for an extended period of time. I was wondering if I can get some advice/stories from per owners who live alone?
