We got a new kitten and brought it home today. They are from the same breeder and share the same dad (not mom). The 6mo was just neutered April 2nd. He is normally the sweetest boy who is well socialized to people and didn’t have any issue with my moms 2 10yr old fixed cats.
He was curious at first and was hissing at her and whacking her. The big problem is he is obsessed. If she on the ground by herself he charges her, she instinctively runs and he pounced on her and pins her down biting her neck and she cries/screams.
I want to give it more time before we give up and return her, but my significant other is so fearful he might seriously hurt or kill her that she sadly wants to return her already. I’m frustrated Bc it’s been one day. She doesn’t seem to want to listen and is paralyzed with fear that something will happen.
The kitten is obviously very small and frail still.
