I'm in the US, by the way. Just had an appointment today which I considered a bit...pricy. Quarantine has a lot of vets closed for regular non-emergency stuff, so I had to take my newly adopted cat wherever I could. Is ear cleaning normally $40+? What about ear cytology testing for $38? I found the ear cleaning to be pricy! I can't find much online, but some sites were saying that ear cleaning could be as low as $5-15! My cat also needs teeth cleaning in the near future. What would a reasonably priced teeth cleaning cost?
Also, why don't they post price estimates on their sites?! Like, come on, let's not pretend people don't care about costs! Today I went for a free wellness exam, courtesy of the shelter, but they did extra stuff to my cat without discussing prices at all (and without telling me it wasn't part of my complimentary wellness exam, heh). I could pay for it and she needed it, so I was fine but I hate spending more money that I have to (like with a cheaper vet). However, I did get sticker shock since I expected it to be free lol
If they posted estimates this situation would have been avoided! :(
