This may be a boring story but I really wanted to share it.
I have a 2 year old dog and a 8 year old cat. I got my dog as a puppy when I had already had my cat for a few years. After many failed attempts at trying to play with my cat he gave up trying and doesn't try to engage her anymore. While my cat has always ignored him and barely tolerates his puppy antics.
One day I came home late at night from a work call and upon opening my front door, which has a straight line of sight to my living room, I see my dog and cat laying down in my recliner facing each other. My dog is a black lab and being 2 is fully grown so they were very close. I take a step into the house and they both scatter. This is wierd because they mostly avoid each other and definitely never sit together. Could they have a secret interspecies romance going on?
